Atos has been awarded a six-year contract by the Metropolitan Police Service, with a maximum value of £350 million, to handle application management, service management, and application security. The deal is intended to give the force a stable digital base while it modernises and simplifies its application portfolio.
The agreement includes options for a two-year extension and for adding managed cloud and digital workplace services. A Met Police digital product delivery director said the collaboration would provide a stable digital foundation and support the modernisation and simplification of the application landscape, driving efficiency and effectiveness in the technology that underpins frontline policing.
The contract is one of several large public-sector wins for Atos this year, including a £78.2 million HMRC deal. It also follows a £1 billion business process outsourcing award from the Met to DXC Technology in April. Atos previously underwent a restructuring with investors in 2024 and lost a £1.5 billion Nest contract in 2023.
