Occam Foundry has announced support for its planned quantum technology commercialization campus in southeastern Travis County, Texas. The project received a letter of support from Austin Mayor Kirk Watson, according to an announcement reported by HPCwire.
The organization also signed a memorandum of understanding with The University of Texas. The partnership with the university, home to the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), is expected to tie the campus into regional high-performance computing and quantum research efforts.
The 16.5-acre site is positioned as a hub for moving quantum technologies from research into commercial applications. The announcements signal growing institutional backing for the project in the Austin area.
