According to Tom's Hardware, a Swedish startup has demonstrated an autonomous strike drone that picks and bombs targets on its own. The drone runs a small computer-vision model on Nvidia's Jetson Orin Nano, a low-power edge module, rather than relying on a large cloud-based AI. In the recent demo, the drone identified and attacked targets with no human input and zero external communications.
The report frames this as a shift toward smaller, non-frontier models for military drones, where onboard processing and autonomy matter more than raw scale.
