Tom's Hardware reviewed the Gamemax RGB PRO 750G, a fully modular 750W ATX 3.1 power supply with a 140mm ARGB fan and native 12V-2x6 connector. The review's measurements show a respectable Sohoo platform: 90.8% average efficiency at 230 VAC and genuinely good ripple. Internal temperatures were also good, and the unit uses a Nichicon primary capacitor.
The problem is positioning. At $105, the RGB PRO 750G costs more than an MSI MAG A750GL or Corsair RM750e, while offering a mediocre all-around package. The 80 PLUS Gold badge on the box is not backed by any entry in the CLEAResult, Cybenetics, or PPLP databases, so the certification is currently just a manufacturer assertion. Gamemax also rates the unit at 40°C ambient, with output derated by 20% above that, meaning hot environments effectively turn it into a 600W supply.
The feature list includes fully modular cabling, an attractive ARGB implementation with motherboard sync, and a 10-year warranty. But the review also flags no fanless mode, loud operation under load, and strict OCP. The 165mm depth is slightly longer than the ATX design guide recommendation, which can make cable clearance tight in mid-towers. In short, the RGB PRO 750G measures respectably, but the pretty lights don't justify the premium.
