Gigabyte has announced a BIOS update that will extend support for upcoming Intel processors on its B760 and H610 motherboards, with a launch expected in early 2027. The update covers both DDR4 and DDR5 variants, meaning existing systems on these boards could upgrade without replacing the motherboard.
The move aligns with earlier reports about Intel's "Raptor Lake Next," a third refresh of the Raptor Lake architecture on the LGA 1700 socket. Notably, the BIOS update does not include Z690, Z790, or B660 boards, and Gigabyte has not disclosed SKUs, specs, or pricing.
Intel VP Robert Hallock previously said LGA 1700 remains a good socket and that Intel will keep offering DDR4 support. Leaked specifications from tipster Jaykihn suggest the new lineup could use Core 200 branding, with models including a 20-core Core 7, 16- and 10-core Core 5 variants, and a 4-core Core 3.
