Tom's Hardware reports that Brazilian developer RafaelNGP has released a homebrew app called PSBox Cloud Gaming for jailbroken PS5s. The app, created in part using Claude, lets Xbox Cloud Gaming run natively on the console and maps up to four DualSense controllers for compatibility. It is available as a download from GitHub.

According to the report, setup involves downloading a .zip, extracting it to a specific folder, waiting for a homebrew loader to mount the "game," and signing in via a code shown on the TV. The stream currently runs at 1080p60 and can be upscaled to 4K using the PS5's GPU with AMD FSR 1 or Anime4K upscalers.

Testers have reported some issues, including macroblocking, pink artifacts, and DualSense vibration problems, though others report a good experience. After a Reddit comment asked about local Xbox Remote Play, Rafael said it didn't work yet but released an update days later enabling it.
