A 3D artist who bought a sealed Asus ROG Astral RTX 5090 White OC on the used market expected an Asus executive's autograph for the company's 30th anniversary. Instead, the box contained Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's signature. The artist said they never tested the card and decided to resell it given its collectible value.
The card now heads to Bonhams, with bidding scheduled for Oct. 4–14, 2026. The auction house estimates it will fetch between $10,000 and $15,000. That estimate may be conservative: an autographed Asus ROG Matrix RTX 4090 sold for $16,000 in 2023, and an autographed Asus ROG Astral RTX 5090 Dhabab OC Edition went for $24,200 last year.
Huang signed the GPU on camera last year, and it was originally intended as a giveaway. The broader market for Huang memorabilia has proven strong: a leather jacket he wore at a 2023 Foxconn event sold at Sotheby's for $960,000, far above its $40,000–$60,000 estimate.
