A YouTuber known as TrashBench has strapped a 360mm all-in-one liquid cooler to a Metabox laptop, replacing the stock heatpipe and blower setup with waterblocks, a separate pump, and a large radiator mounted behind the screen. The laptop, a Metabox P950EP with an Intel Core i7-8750H and Nvidia GTX 1060, was originally intended for his daughter to play Fortnite.

The modification cut temperatures by roughly 60°C on both CPU and GPU, keeping them below 40°C under full load. That extra thermal headroom allowed TrashBench to overclock, yielding an average 14% improvement in games and benchmarks. In Forza Horizon 5, frame rates went from 75 FPS to 77 FPS, then to 83 FPS after overclocking.

The build required 3D-printed mounts for the waterblocks and radiator, with epoxy used where screws wouldn't fit. He also added heatsinks to the RAM and VRMs, and wired a DC-DC step-down converter to power the pump and fans from the laptop's 19V supply, controlled by a toggle switch. The result is a permanent, bulky modification that prioritizes cooling over portability.
