Modder Daniel Blanco has updated his DLSS-NR project to version 0.8.0, bringing the full DLSS 5 feature set to AMD Radeon graphics cards. The mod originally launched in September 2026 to add Nvidia's Neural Rendering to Radeon GPUs, and now includes DLSS Super Resolution, Frame Generation, Ray Reconstruction, and the latest Neural Rendering model.

The mod works on RDNA2, RDNA3, and RDNA4 cards (RX 6000, 7000, and 9000 series) in any DirectX 12 game that supports FSR, DLSS, or XeSS. Users install it through the NeuralHub mod loader, which detects games and injects the DLSS settings into the upscaler pipeline, with an in-game overlay for adjustments.

Blanco says output quality is close to native DLSS on Nvidia GPUs, aside from some effects that may not work perfectly. In his testing, an RX 9070 XT ran at 90-100 FPS at 1080p, and he aims to match a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. However, Reddit users report mixed results: some see no performance loss over native FSR, while others lose anywhere from a few frames to 25% FPS. The mod also does not work with anti-cheat systems.
