A researcher known as u/Magga_ has developed a technique for identifying Counter-Strike players by analyzing their mouse and keyboard input patterns. The approach treats the way a person moves and clicks as a behavioral fingerprint.

According to Tom's Hardware, the method is intended to help anti-cheat systems enforce bans more persistently. Even if a banned player creates a new account or uses a different device, the input pattern could still link them to their previous identity.

The technique is notable because it relies on behavioral characteristics rather than hardware IDs or account data. This could make it harder for cheaters to evade punishment by changing the systems they play on.
