Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has dismissed fears that artificial intelligence will destroy the world by 2030, calling such concerns unsubstantiated. Speaking to reporters, Huang said there is a "0% chance" of that outcome, arguing that existing safety mechanisms are sufficient to keep AI development on track.
Huang also pushed back against warnings from Anthropic and other organizations that have raised alarms about existential risks. He rejected the need for new regulations, saying the industry should "go as fast as we can, irrespective of anyone else." His comments put him at odds with those calling for more cautious AI development and tighter oversight.
The remarks come as Nvidia continues to dominate the AI hardware market, with Huang positioning his company as the engine of rapid AI advancement. By downplaying catastrophic risk and opposing new rules, he is making a clear case for accelerating deployment rather than slowing it down for safety reviews.
