Tom's Hardware covers two pre-built gaming PC deals that sit far apart in price but share the same memory and storage configuration. The ABS Stratos II drops to $2,599.99 with a $300 discount, and includes an RTX 5070 Ti, a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 32GB of DDR5, and a 2TB SSD. The MSI Codex R2 is priced at $1,429 after a $270 cut, pairing an RTX 5060 with a Core i5-14400F, also with 32GB DDR5 and a 2TB SSD.
The two systems agree on RAM and storage: both ship with 32GB DDR5 and a 2TB SSD. They differ sharply in their target gaming resolution and processor class. The ABS rig is described as a 4K-capable machine thanks to the RTX 5070 Ti and Ryzen 7 9800X3D, while the MSI desktop is pitched as a solid 1080p system with a 10-core Intel chip.
Although both machines are aimed at gamers, the gap between $1,429 and $2,599.99 means they are unlikely to appeal to the same buyer. The MSI system offers a lower entry point for mainstream 1080p play, while the ABS build is positioned for those who want higher-resolution performance.
