Britain’s regulator is scrutinising the way Pornhub uses Apple’s age-checking technology for iPhone users in the UK. The Register reports that the probe centres on whether Aylo, Pornhub’s parent company, did enough due diligence before relying on the system to keep under-18 users away.
According to the report, the concern is less about the tool’s general capabilities and more about whether Aylo checked that the specific deployment satisfied the UK’s requirements. The review comes after Pornhub reopened access for British iPhone users, having previously kept them away.
