Walmart is selling the HyperX Omen 15 gaming laptop for $1,149, down from $1,899.99 — a 40% discount. The deal targets budget-minded gamers, especially as PC hardware prices keep climbing. According to Tom's Hardware, this is one of the better values currently available for an RTX 5060 machine.
The laptop pairs an Nvidia RTX 5060 with an Intel Core Ultra 7 255H, a 16-core Arrow Lake-H processor. It also includes 16GB of DDR5 RAM, a 1TB SSD, and a 15-inch 2K IPS display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The source notes the GPU won't handle 4K 60 fps in demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077, but it should be more than adequate at the laptop's native 1920 x 1200 resolution, especially with DLSS 4.5 support.
Connectivity covers USB Type-A, Ethernet, a 3.5mm audio jack, and Wi-Fi 7. The source adds that while the Omen 15 lineup is competitive for gaming, there are clear cost-cutting measures — the chassis will feel less premium than pricier alternatives. For someone entering mobile gaming or upgrading from an older device, this deal offers a solid balance of performance and price.
