A PC port of the in-development PS5 exclusive Wolverine has surfaced, created by a solo developer using source code from the December 2023 Rhysida ransomware attack on Sony and Insomniac. The 1.7 TB leak included an early build, and the developer, u/Clean-Market5761, says the leaked code was key to understanding how to generate a PC executable program.

The port is far from finished. Screenshots show missing textures and Wolverine's head entirely absent, which the developer explains is because the PS5 shader library hasn't been ported over to render hair; the head asset was disabled to keep the game running. They admitted to using AI for assistance with scripts and automated asset conversion, while trial and error was done manually. Skeptics have claimed the screenshots are fake or taken from the old 2023 build, but the developer argues they come from a jailbroken PS5 in dev mode.

Even if the port were polished, the game itself has drawn criticism. Commenters describe it as an "interactive movie," pointing to a motorcycle chase scene that completes itself without player input and quick-time events that auto-resolve. One commenter praised the developer's work but said of the game, "You can keep it, though."
