Phantom GI, a medical startup based in Tel Aviv, has raised $5 million to advance its PercStoma device. The device is designed as a minimally invasive alternative to conventional ostomy surgery.
Traditional ostomy procedures can be too risky for some patients with bowel obstructions. PercStoma aims to serve those who might otherwise be considered ineligible for surgery, potentially expanding treatment options for this group.
The funding will support the development of the device as the company moves its product forward.
