Teal Health has secured $22 million in Series A funding to advance its at-home HPV cervical cancer screening device. The round was led by .406 Ventures, with support from Emerson Collective (managed by Yosemite), Forerunner, Serena Ventures, and Japan-based MPower Partners.

The device is intended to let people collect samples at home for HPV testing, potentially reducing the need for clinic visits. Self-collection for HPV is seen as a promising way to broaden access to screening, which can lead to earlier detection and prevention of cervical cancer.

The funding gives Teal Health additional resources as it works to bring the device to market. With this investor lineup, the company is positioned to build on growing momentum behind more convenient cervical cancer screening options.
