Many Android apps are hybrid: they pair native code such as Java with web content running in a WebView. That design lets the two sides exchange data freely, but it also creates information flow channels that cross language boundaries. An app's security analysis must follow data as it moves from JavaScript to Java and back again.
Existing analysis tools typically focus on one language at a time. When they look only at the native side or only at the web side, they can miss flows that depend on both. The new framework described in this arXiv preprint is explicitly hybrid: it models the WebView interface as a bridge and analyzes information flow across the full app.
The work is still at the framework proposal stage, and the abstract does not report experimental results. Still, it points to a growing gap in mobile security tooling as hybrid apps become more common. By treating the WebView boundary as a first-class analysis target, the framework could help find leaks that single-language tools overlook.
