A new arXiv preprint argues that existing Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communications are vulnerable in two ways. Elliptic-curve signatures can be broken by a quantum adversary, and pseudonym certificates protect anonymity through frequent rotation rather than through cryptographic guarantees.

To address this, the paper introduces qDGSP, a quantum-seeded distributed post-quantum group signature scheme for 5G V2X. The work positions qDGSP as a response to both the quantum threat and the weak anonymity guarantees of current pseudonym-based approaches.

The preprint is listed on arXiv as 2610.27316v1. The abstract does not provide implementation details or evaluation results, so those aspects are not covered here.
