Airties has introduced new cybersecurity capabilities that allow internet service providers to detect and respond to threats inside connected homes and small businesses. The tools are built into Airties' Connectivity Experience Management Platform, giving ISPs a way to manage security alongside their existing network services.
With these capabilities, the router itself becomes an additional security enforcement point. Instead of relying solely on cloud-based or endpoint protections, ISPs can use the customer-premises equipment to spot suspicious activity and take remediation steps directly at the network edge.
The move reflects a broader trend of embedding security deeper into the connectivity stack. For ISPs, this could mean offering more robust protection to subscribers without requiring separate hardware or complex customer-side setups.
