North Macedonian police, working with the FBI, arrested the alleged administrator of OLVX, a cybercrime marketplace active since 2023. The suspect, who was not named, was taken into custody after a raid on his home in the village of Golema Rečica, following the filing of charges.
OLVX is accused of letting cybercriminals buy and sell stolen personally identifiable information, login credentials, phishing kits, remote desktop connections, and other tools. According to the FBI, the marketplace operated between 2023 and 2025 with more than 1,500 seller accounts. A 2023 investigation by cybersecurity firm ZeroFox had already flagged the site's growing popularity among criminals. Unlike many underground markets, OLVX did not use an escrow service; instead, users loaded funds onto the platform and paid each other through cryptocurrency.
North Macedonia's Interior Ministry said evidence also showed the suspect ran a Telegram group called ONEMILI that offered tools for fraudulent refund schemes and other scams. Investigators additionally found that the suspect had acquired and possessed child sexual abuse material through Telegram for personal use.
The arrest is part of a broader law enforcement push against cybercriminal marketplaces. Recent actions include the sentencing of Empire Market's co-creator to 40 years in prison and Microsoft's takedown of three Chinese phishing sites used to send hundreds of millions of malicious messages.
