Zeabur, a development platform, has announced it is ceasing operations after suffering a second security breach in two months. In the latest incident, an attacker used leaked internal credentials that had been stored in plaintext to compromise the company's infrastructure.
The breach led to the theft of more than 3.2 million environment variable records and information for 321,810 accounts. Zeabur disclosed these details in its incident report, explaining that the credentials had been leaked and then used to gain access.
This marks the second breach in the same period, and the company's decision to shut down follows the cumulative impact of these incidents. No additional details about the first breach or the exact shutdown timeline were provided in the report.
