The DJI Osmo 360 II, reviewed by Engadget, is a direct follow-up to DJI's first 360-degree action camera and a challenger to the Insta360 X6. Its most business-relevant change is repairability: the lenses are now user-replaceable via a €39 kit that includes a removal tool, suction cup, and new gaskets. The reviewer swapped a lens in under five minutes, a major improvement over the original, which required sending the camera back to DJI for lens damage.

On the video side, the Osmo 360 II records 8K 360 video at up to 60fps (up from 50fps) and 4K at 120fps, with a claimed dynamic range boost from 13.5 to 14.5 stops. Engadget found the daylight dynamic range and low-light performance noticeably better than the original, aided by a new SuperNight 2.0 noise-reduction mode. The camera also charges faster than its predecessor and adds NFC tap-to-connect for easier phone pairing, though the DJI Studio app still needs work.

Pricing is a key advantage: at €589, the Osmo 360 II undercuts the Insta360 X6's €699 price. However, the review notes a significant drawback — unlike its main rival, the Osmo 360 II is not available in the United States. That absence limits its commercial reach despite the improved hardware and lower cost.
