AI-driven applicant tracking systems can filter out resumes before a human reads them, and TopResume's free review is designed to show job seekers how their CV performs in those systems. According to a WIRED review, the free critique takes up to 48 hours and includes an ATS simulation, flagging issues like oversized PDFs and a focus on responsibilities rather than measurable outcomes.
Paid services start at around $179 for a professionally written resume, with packages such as Professional Growth and Career Evolution adding cover letters and application submissions. A $3 seven-day trial unlocks the Premium subscription, which costs $25 per month and includes AI resume tailoring, unlimited resumes, and access to expert-led courses. The source notes a small pricing discrepancy: resume writing starts at $179, while packages are described as starting at $180. TopResume also offers specialized services for academic CVs, military resumes, and federal job applications. WIRED says customers who buy a package through its link get four weeks of free access to TopResume's Career Services Platform, which includes interview training and recruiter access.
