Meta announced at Meta Connect that it will add Hearing Enhancement to supported Meta Glasses later this year. The feature is designed for people with mild to moderate hearing loss and does not require a prescription. It will not be available on Ray-Ban models, at least to start.

Pricing is set at a one-time $149 fee or access through a Meta One subscription, with a 30-day free trial. The software is FDA-cleared and eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement, though users must handle insurance claims themselves. Wearers can activate or disable it at any time with a voice command.

The new feature differs from Meta's existing Conversation Focus mode, which improves audibility in noisy environments. Hearing Enhancement is positioned as an option for users who might otherwise use a hearing aid. Meta also announced updates to its Detailed Responses feature and new customizable audio and controls.
