The Una Watch, a GPS sports watch from hardware company Una, is now available for $199, a significant drop from its $350 Kickstarter price. According to The Verge, the watch includes dual-frequency GPS, 24/7 heart rate tracking, a barometric altimeter, motion sensors, and a replaceable 280mAh battery with USB-C charging. Battery life is rated at up to 10 days.

The watch is designed to be repaired and modified by its owner. Una says every component is accessible with a standard tool, and the open-source mechanical design allows users to create 3D-printed accessories such as a cycling computer mount. The SDK, housing, and circuit boards are open-source as well, similar to Pebble's revived watches, but the Una Watch ships with more fitness features out of the box.

Una is also courting developers, suggesting users can ask an AI coding assistant to interpret its documentation and help build applications. The $199 price positions the watch below most comparable Garmin models, though it is only IPX5 rated, meaning it is splash- and showerproof rather than fully waterproof.
