Xbox appears to be moving on a direct counterpart to PlayStation's platinum trophy. A recent update to the Xbox PC app contains references to "Mythic Achievements," which would unlock when a player earns every other achievement in a title. The achievement would appear on screen with its own distinctive sound, and players could track their Mythic count on their profile and dashboard.

The feature has started showing up in early Xbox dashboard builds distributed to Xbox Insider testers, according to the report. Microsoft has not formally announced Mythic Achievements, but the timing lines up with a statement from Xbox CEO Asha Sharma last month, who said a platinum-style reward would arrive later this year.

If the references are any indication, an official announcement is likely imminent. The addition would give Xbox's achievement system a comparable end-goal to the platinum trophy that PlayStation users have long used as a mark of completion.
