Tesla has announced that the Cybertruck's Powershare feature can now back up a home at the same time as a Powerwall 3. The update, reported by Electrek, lets the vehicle and the stationary battery work together to supply household power during an outage.
According to Tesla, the combined system delivers more than three days of backup power. The company says that is equivalent to adding nine extra Powerwalls to a home setup.
The feature is aimed at Cybertruck owners who already have or plan to install a Powerwall 3. It effectively turns the truck's large battery pack into additional home energy storage, which could be useful for longer outages.
