A developer has demonstrated Nvidia's DLSS 5 neural rendering running inside a web browser using WebGPU, according to Tom's Hardware. The port, described as a 147MB browser build, reportedly runs on non-Nvidia GPUs and macOS, not only on Nvidia hardware.
At the same time, the demo highlights the trade-off: each render takes about two seconds. The article does not claim this is a real-time gaming solution, and it describes the project as a modder's port rather than an official Nvidia effort.
Because there is only a single source, there are no differing reports to compare. The story is best read as a proof of concept showing that neural rendering pipelines can be adapted to a cross-vendor web API, even if the performance is not yet practical.
