NASA and SpaceX have set Oct. 1 as the earliest launch opportunity for Crew-13, with liftoff targeted for 11:10 a.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Final readiness reviews will confirm that the astronauts, Dragon spacecraft, Falcon 9 rocket, and space station are prepared for flight.
If the mission launches as planned, Dragon will spend less than nine hours in orbit before docking at the forward-facing port of the Harmony module around 8 p.m. The spacecraft will perform a series of maneuvers to match the station's path and then attach securely to the designated port.
The crew consists of commander Jessica Watkins and pilot Luke Delaney from NASA, mission specialist Joshua Kutryk of the Canadian Space Agency, and mission specialist Sergey Teteryatnikov of Roscosmos. After docking, they will join Expedition 75 for long-duration research, maintenance, and technology demonstrations. The astronauts are currently in quarantine at Johnson Space Center and are scheduled to travel to Kennedy Space Center on Sept. 26.
