ThreatModeler has announced NexusAI, an AI-powered threat modeling assistant within its Nexus platform. The tool is designed to automate the creation, analysis, and maintenance of threat models, helping security teams keep pace with the growing number of applications and architectural changes without scaling manual effort.
NexusAI can generate and explore threat models from inputs such as natural language, diagrams, and documentation. It also accelerates security analysis by identifying relevant threats and security requirements, and it monitors for architectural changes, proposing updates for human approval so that security experts retain control over critical decisions.
The system is built on ThreatModeler Nexus, which uses a Secure Design Graph to connect application architecture, threats, requirements, and mitigations. By integrating with development tools, NexusAI aims to bring threat modeling closer to where software is built. The launch follows the combination of ThreatModeler and IriusRisk earlier in 2026 and the introduction of the unified Nexus platform in July.
