Electrify America has opened its largest charging station to date at the Sand Lake Corners South shopping center in Orlando. The site offers 24 DC fast chargers, each capable of delivering up to 350 kW, and is positioned near Interstate 4, Orlando International Airport, Walt Disney World, and Universal Studios.
The company notes that Florida is a logical place to expand, citing US Department of Energy data showing roughly 450,400 registered battery electric vehicles in the state in 2025 — the second-highest total in the country after California. All 24 chargers at the new station use CCS connectors, while Electrify America continues piloting NACS connectors at other locations, including a separate site at the Florida Mall.
Because the station is in a shopping center, drivers can eat or run errands while charging. Electrify America says it now operates more than 350 chargers at over 60 stations in Florida, and another 10-charger Orlando site on Curry Ford Road is expected to open in the coming months, though no exact date has been announced.
