Mark Wahlberg's Municipal Gym is set to open in December as a 32,000-square-foot club outside Las Vegas. It will offer blood work, epigenetic testing, compression therapy, cold plunges, recovery gear, and a café with protein muffins. Wahlberg says the concept is an affordable alternative to high-end longevity clubs that charge tens of thousands of dollars a year for similar services.

At TechCrunch Disrupt, he cited $99 as an example price for three rounds of blood work and an hour with a doctor to discuss predispositions. Supplements and hormone therapy would also be available on site. He described the venture as a "health and wellness ecosystem" and acknowledged that the gyms would "kind of" double as storefronts for his other products, including a supplements brand.

Wahlberg's previous fitness investment, F45, went public in 2021 and was delisted from the NYSE in 2023 after its stock collapsed. He said the biggest lesson was making sure he works with people who share his approach. He also said he prefers a big-box model where members stay for hours, rather than the quick-class format F45 used. The Municipal name comes from his Boston childhood, playing on public courts, and he wants the gyms to build community and challenge people to improve.
